Yesterday we went to the wedding of a close friend of my boyfriend’s. It was so much fun and we were most definitely sat at the funniest table! Don’t you just love sitting at a table with people that make you laugh from the minute you sit down to the time you fall into bed?! The drink was flowing, the craic was mighty but I’m paying for it today. I have the hangover from hell! (sad face)
Deciding what to wear for this wedding was a bit challenging. I initially had a gorgeous decadent skirt that I bought last Christmas on a whim but then when I went to buy a top to match I couldn’t find any! Such a bummer! So off I went on the hunt for a new outfit. I felt totally out of my comfort zone when I chose this dress, I still chose the dress though so that’s kind of weird! It is the most feminine piece of clothing that I own as I don’t normally go for something so girly. I loved wearing it and in the end I felt all pretty and stuff! I suppose how could you not feel pretty in floral, prom style skirt and off the shoulder? They’re the epitome of femininity.
Dress – ASOS
Shoes – Savida @ Dunnes Stores
Earrings – Topshop
Bag – Anya Hindmarch (borrowed)
The off the shoulder trend is huge right now and I was keen to wear something like that for the wedding. I love the sheer floral overlay on this dress, that’s what sold it to me actually. The metallic shoes give it a bit of an edge, hard to believe they’re from Dunnes! The vintage Anya Hindmarch clutch was a dream to hold too, I just love her designs.
Congrats to Paul and Samantha and thanks for a lovely day!
Stunning dress, and looks like made to measure 😉
