#Mamastyle – Look 1

I’ve decided to add a new slot to my little blog called #Mamastyle that I hope and aspire to commit to weekly or fortnightly. I’ve used the hashtag Mamastyle quite a bit in the past and because of my love of fashion I’m going to style looks that suit me as a mother for everyday life and (sometimes) night. The looks that I style for this slot will be shot in various locations to suit that outfit. Just like my first look today – A trip to the playground. I like to keep it cool and casual for these occasions!

Anyone that knows me, knows that I’ve experimented with fashion from an early age and the clothes that I wear always make some kind of statement, like this Bomber Jacket from H&M. Do you remember the movie Drive starring Ryan Gosling? Well, he wore quite a distinctive jacket throughout it with a scorpion motif on the back. That jacket inspired me to buy this bomber with an eagle/hawk (I’m not too sure which) on the back. It’s what I like to call my “marmite” piece. It’s a love/hate kind of thing (for other people, not me)! I have a few I might add and this baby is my latest!

I obviously love it, but I reckon the Polish girls at the playground last week didn’t! My sisters long-term partner is Polish and I’m pretty sure they said a few words of dislike towards my lovely bird jacket. Oh well, comments like that won’t stop me from wearing it. So this week I wore it to another playground! I styled the jacket with my skinny ripped jeans from Topshop, striped top also Topshop and my grey flatform sneakers from Zara.

The whole look is super comfy and perfect for running around after a very active toddler!
