Basic First Aid for Parents Class

I’m delighted to finally have a date for my…….

first aid 1

When I made the announcement that I was interested in holding these classes I was overwhelmed with the response. I received so many messages and comments that I don’t know why I thought people might not respond. It’s such an important topic to gain knowledge about so of course there would be a massive interest in it.

My reason for going about this is from an awful story I heard last November of a little girl that died from choking. Had her parents known first aid, they feel they could have saved her life. After hearing this story, I was calling around places the next day looking to attend first aid classes. But then I had an idea. Why don’t I organize one for my readers right here in New Ross!

So here we are!  I have one confirmed date to hold this class and if the list grows then I will announce another date and so on.

I have enlisted the help of my friend who works as a full time Paramedic based in Wexford. As the saying goes, ‘It’s not what you know, it’s who you know’ right?

The three hour class is designed to help parents gain knowledge on how to help a child in an emergency. From common paediatric illnesses to inadequate respirations and much more. Paul will go into detail on this and you can also take part in demonstrations.

I have kept the cost low to make it accessible to everyone. I feel it will be a great experience and I look forward to seeing you all there.

Here is a brief profile about Paul’s experience in the medical field –
